BREXIT??!!!

BREXIT!

If someone doesn't know what BREXIT is (even though I doubt anyone hasn't heard of it)
Brexit: The UK's withdrawal from the EU

Surely there will be consequences. But what they will be

Maybe :
a) Students from EU will no longer study there
b) No migration to UK
c) Bad relationship UK-EU

I doubt a and c are going to happen but answer b is maybe a possibility. But I am going to talk a bit later about these issues

Now let's see which parts of UK voted to remain and which to leave from the EU

(Image taken by indy100)

Cities such as London,Edinburgh or Cambridge had a high percentage on remaining.
In Harrogate for example the leave vote was 49% which means 46,374 votes and remain vote was 51% which means 48,211 votes.

Age was of course relatable. Most of young people voted for remain whereas most of elderly voted for leave.

So now back with the question. What will happen? What's next?

Let's start with studying.Nothing will be changed in the years 2017/18.Students studying to England and Wales will have the same fees and options for loans as domestic students.Scottish goverment annouced the same day that also nothing will change, students won't pay any fees at undergraduate level for the full four years of study.

Now you may be wondering if you will need a visa?
If the UK withdraws from existing agreements on freedom of movement, then future EU students may have to apply for a Tier 4 visa or a short-term study visa
Of course students are concerned about Brexit. Many of them said that a decision of Brexit
would limit their opportunities to study, travel or work elsewhere in the EU.

It is unclear whether people from EU would continue to live and work there as much as unclear it's whether free movement is continuing. But let's hope that EU and UK have still good interactions with each other and free movement is going to continue because studying and working to a place mustn't be denied.

My opinion on Brexit isn't that important. What I want to say is because I want to study in Scotland and- I am sure it's not me who wants to study in the UK,and also I hope to live there too-these university news are great-that nothing will change-..

So future students of 2017/18 don't be scared of Brexit. It won't affect our studies. So continue trying in your school and bring good grades and don't lose hopes.
